Information Technology (A.A.S) Programme
The Information Technology Associate in Applied Science Degree provides a broad perspective on how to use and apply the knowledge and tools of Information Technology, Computer Science and/or Information Systems, to the self and society. Students in this two year entry level degree programme will be encouraged to grapple with the complexities, as well as the advantages and disadvantages, of these fields in their everyday life and workplaces. Majors are premised on the notion that ICT understandings are best developed within the context of application. Prominent features of the courses that have been included are practical labs and projects that emphasize replication of real-life situations, and require the use of a variety of resources for learning.
For admission to the Information Technology program, Candidate MUST has Five (5) subjects at CXC General Proficiency including:

TVEMS Information Technology Robotics 2019 Team
First Global Team Saint Kitts and Nevis 2019
Not ONCE, or TWICE but THREE times St. Kitts and Nevis Robotics team is back again at First Global Robotics Challenge 2019 as a collective of fresh, innovative, technological leaders of our upcoming generation.
Our team is made up of 5 brilliant minds in love with the field of technology, driven toward all new and upcoming developments in our federation. We believe that the future is now and we are the ones who shape it into what it could be. This is the era that minds like ours will capitalize on opportunities like First Global and make monumental changes all around the world. Our main goal is to further involve our nation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The overall make-up of our robot’s hardware components is a result of the cooperation of all members of the team but specific components of its development can be split into two primary groups. The Engineering Faction consists of our robot’s Driver Jeremy Warner, its Controller Jordan Prentice and fellow Lead Engineer Ainka Saunders. Representing the Programming faction, our Team Captain and Spokesperson Abion Stevens works alongside fellow Programmer Vivisha Wattley to code and test the functions of the robot. While these individuals serve as the federation’s international team at the 2019 First Global Challenge, it would be an injustice not to mention the greatly appreciated assistance of every comrade incorporated into the local team who’s aid and time within the development phase also contributed to a considerable amount of effort used to create a well-built competitive robot.
Competing at the First Global Challenge will give us the grand experience of being there first hand, to participate and observe all the amazing minds of robotics around the world. Also to expand our very own minds and help shape the future of robotics. “The Future Is At Hand”
This orientation is everything a new student needs in order to get through college. It covers major topics such as how to handle stress, mange your time wisely, the college's rules and regulations and much much more. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
This orientation has a massive amount of information that helps us to manage school and day to day life. It is very useful and straight forward.
This orientation helped me to explore further in depth in this course.
As a second year in the program this was very helpful information that i am sure will help all other upcoming students. Very well done
This was very informative as it helps those just joining the I.T program or coming to college to integrate quickly....It also gives us a look at the possible futures in the industry
